It's a bit heavy so two people should handle moving the pieces as you place and assemble them. It was very easy for two people to assemble. The bed springs are good quality and tight. Do not cut the wires on the trundle until it is resting in place. Watch your fingers as you familiarize yourself with the trundle. It does not need manhandling. It will work very smoothly. I purchased two standard size twin mattresses for the beds. They fit perfectly and the two beds can be moved together as a king size if necessary.
